Our Centre is rated 'Exceeding' National Quality Standards
Operating over 5 classrooms all on ground level, each sunlit classroom has direct access to lovely, natural outdoor areas.
Our children are given the opportunity to play outdoors in large yards designated to each age group. We also have a community garden and chickens that all children have the opportunity to engage with.
Our centre is located on the grounds of Armadale House, which has a significant history. In 1876, James Munro built Armadale House as his private residence. Munro was a prominent business man and later became the Premier of Victoria during the land boom of the 1880’s. Armadale House was named after Munro’s Scottish birthplace. The suburb Armadale was later named after Armadale House.
We are proud to offer additional complimentary educational programs taught by specialist teachers that all children enrolled at the centre have the opportunity to participate in.
These programs include Gardening & Sustainability, Music & Movement, French and Speech Therapy.
Our child initiated, play based program stimulates children’s learning, exploration and social connections.
The Armadale 4 year old Kindergarten program is taught by our Kindergarten teacher, Teresa, who holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education (Student Wellbeing).
The 3 year old program is taught by Stephanie who holds a Bachelor of Education.
Both Kindergarten programs use a play based approach that emphasises learning through exploration and investigation. The program encourages children to be creative in all areas, whether it is problem solving or the expressive arts. It also encourages lateral thinking and positive social interactions.
Our program runs for extended hours – from 8am until 5.30pm.
